Oh dear its all going down hill in here isn't it I better get it back on track. By the way you know none of this behaviour inspires me to post pictures when i get them.

It has been a week of hell, rehearsing every night this week and not getting to bed before 1am, then getting up at 6.30 to go to work. by final dress rehearsal night I still didn't have one of my costumes.

Our costumes now include a lovely pale pink halterneck day dress with a lovely white hat, and a purple bathing suit with a floaty little 30'2 style over shirt which we only do up the top button of. Now I know we're all wearing 40 denier dancers tights but did my bathing suit have to be the highest cut of everyones. What's funnier is that that is the costume in which the Angels spend the whole number shimmying up to the sailors. Have already had one sailor complain he couldn't concentrate on the singing due to the shimmying.

Important fact I found out on Wednesday was that my strapless bra does not stay up when I tap dance have done something about it since, this usually involves being pinned into my dress. Minor hiccup on wednesday when the Angels thought we had heaps of time and missed the scene entirely, Reno had to talk to herself. I also ran into a chair and we also had a collision with a couple of dancers as they came off and we came on.

Saw one scene in costume on thursday that I'd never seen in costume before and have to say was not what I was expecting to see. Was quite shocked to peer thru the curtain and find Lance standing on stage dressed only in a pair of Y fronts and a sword. *LMAO* [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

In saying that there seems to be quite a bit of flashing of underwear in this musical (not mine thank goodness)Marisa just about falls out of her dress everytime she falls off the bed, black suspenders and all.

Had friday night off Hurray! had a massage (which I think made everything hurt more) and went to bed.

The worst part has been because the theatre was getting a 2 million dollar refurbishment was that it wasn't finished yet. We only got in 2 weeks before today, the seats in the theatre weren't bolted in til tuesday. The lighting plot was done on monday and on tuesday the builders took it all down again. The side of the stage have been full of buiding material and a good deal of the set painting hadn't been finished on thursday. On final dress rehearsal night we still didn't have an intercom so you had no way of knowing what was happening on stage.

Still It'll be alright on the night! held true and yesterday was our big opening, in front of all the trust members, the mayor, hte people with the money. The set looked fantastic, admittedly a couple of people were being almost sewed into they're costumes. It all went really well, 'tho I went to smile when I first stepped on stage and I could feel my lips shaking, Grant who was standing right next to me came up to me at half time to ask if I was alright because I looked that nervous when I first walked on stage, but he was the only one who noticed because he was standing so close. Then we got into the swing of things, we lost the beard in the middle, but Jason covered this large discrepancy in the plot admirably. I finally remembered all my dance steps, the Angels got a huge cheer at the end, Jason's fly was undone when he came out for his curtain call [img]redface.gif[/img] Oops! Lyn as Reno was fabulous as usual and now I know why, she's done this professionally in Chicago, Toronto, London and New York.

We partyed 'til 2am this morning, and the rest of the season is going to be great.
